Avocado Peels Remove 4 Problems Everyday

After taking out a ripe and creamy avocado, we usually throw the peel away as useless. But do you know that like fruits, their peel is also rich in antioxidants, which you do not want to miss? Given its bumpy and rough texture, using an avocado peel might feel a bit awkward at first. But it can solve many of your everyday problems.

Avocado peels are rich in fatty acids and potassium, which can have incredible benefits for your gut and boost your immune system. Like other fruits with peels such as oranges and kiwis, avocado peels contain more valuable nutrients.

Research published in the Journal of Agricultural Science found that avocado peels contain high amounts of critical antioxidants like carotenoids, phenolic compounds, and flavonoids – all of which may help protect your body from inflammation. Today we are telling you about 4 such problems which you can overcome with avocado peels.

  • To make tea, boil the avocado peel in a pot filled with two cups of water.
  • Let it boil for 5 minutes. Then filter this mixture.
  • It looks like normal green tea.

3. Avocado Peels for Plants

The avocado rind is perfect for compost because it contributes green and brown material. Yes, the rough skin of an avocado is made up of brown-colored components. The green stuff is rich in nitrogen, which helps beneficial bacteria to multiply and develop.

Brown materials are a source of carbon that provides long-term energy to microorganisms.

Just take a scissor and cut off the rind of your avocado so that you are left with small squares. These can then be added directly to your compost.

Like eggshells, you can bake avocado peels and then grate them. Baking the peels will remove the moisture. You can then put them in a coffee grinder and chop them before adding them to your compost pile.
