  • 1/2 cup water
  • 7-8 drops of Cinnamon Oil
  • 7-8 drops of clove oil

What to Do-

  • Put water and both the oils in a glass and mix well.
  • Rinse with this solution for 3-4 minutes after brushing morning and evening.
  • It has a long shelf life, so you can store it and use it.

Make Mouthwash With Salt and Baking Soda

Baking soda helps to eliminate the bacteria that build up in the mouth. Your sore throat and mouth ulcers also get relief from salt. Along with baking soda and salt, it can help to get rid of bad breath. 


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup lukewarm water

What to Do-

  • Mix salt and baking soda well in lukewarm water.
  • Rinse off for at least 30 seconds or 1 minute after brushing.
  • Take care not to rinse too much with salt water, as this can damage the gums.

Make Mouthwash With Lemon Juice and Water

Lemon juice helps reduce bad breath due to its strong antibacterial properties. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and citric acid, both of which help kill bacteria.


  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup lukewarm water

What to Do-

  • Mix lemon juice in a cup of lukewarm water.
  • After that rinse it off for 30 seconds. 
  • It is also a quick solution that you can use when needed. 
  • Also, it can be prepared and kept for 2 days.

Make Mouthwash With Peppermint and Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil helps fight odor-causing bacteria and microbes in your mouth. You can easily incorporate it into your oral hygiene routine. Its strong mint flavor neutralizes odor while its antiseptic properties kill germs and bacteria.


  • 3-4 drops of peppermint oil
  • 3-4 drops of tea tree oil
  • 1 cup lukewarm water

What to Do-

  • Add both the oils to a cup of lukewarm water and mix it well.
  • Rinse off with it regularly every morning and evening.
  • You can make it and use it for 2-3 days and then make a new mouthwash.
  • Take care not to squish it while rinsing.

Make Mouthwash With Apple Cider Vinegar

In addition to being an antibacterial, it also has some pH-balancing properties. Due to its acidic nature, it eliminates the bacteria in the mouth and helps in removing the foul smell of the mouth. 


  • 2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • half a cup of water

What to Do-

  • Mix water and vinegar and rinse off after brushing.
  • You can also drink it half an hour before a meal. This will help the food to be digested properly so that there will be no bad odor in the mouth.
  • It is acidic, so it should not be used excessively.
