Advantages and Disadvantages of Heron Pose- Kraunchasana is a special yoga posture, with the help of which the muscles around the leg, hip, and bone are stretched.

Kraunchasana is an ancient yoga pose, commonly known as a yoga pose that provides peace and relaxation to the body. Kraunchasana not only removes mental and physical exhaustion but also causes strain in the thigh and hip muscles. This is a simple yoga posture, which can be practiced by both beginners and experienced practitioners. This is a medium-grade yoga posture, which is done while sitting on a mat. Kraunchasana is known as “Heron Pose” in English.

Steps to do Heron Pose

  • Step 2 – Now bring the right foot forward and keep it near the right knee (like Virasana mudra)
  • Step 3 – Keep the spine and neck straight and keep breathing deeply
  • Step 4 – Now hold the right leg with both the hands and start moving it upwards
