Many types of diet can also be helpful in curing or preventing diseases like Alzheimer’s, and dementia. Mind Diet is also one such diet, which is considered very beneficial for your brain. The Mind Diet is a combination of the Mediterranean and the DASH diet. This diet helps protect against conditions like dementia and reduced brain health. Although some similarity is found in every diet, only those things are included in this diet that has the right effect on the brain.

Benefits of Mind Diet

The Mind Diet focuses more on plant-based foods. This diet is high in saturated fat. It mostly includes berries and green leafy vegetables. Eating food rich in flavonoids also keeps the mood good. Blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries help in improving brain health.

What should be included in Mind Diet (Mind Diet Food)

1. Eat 6 servings of green and leafy vegetables like kale, spinach, lettuce, etc. in a week.

2. Eat 5 servings of nuts like cashews, almonds, pistachios, etc. in a week.

3. Eat two servings of berries like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries in a week.

4. Consumption of beans such as black bean, pinto bean, and kidney beans, must be eaten 3 servings a week.

5. Make sure to consume three servings of whole grains such as quinoa, oatmeal, brown rice, whole grain pasta, and bread in a week.

6. Consume fish like tuna, salmon, and trout once a week.

7. Eat poultry like chicken and turkey twice a week.

8. Use only olive oil while cooking or for any purpose.

9. Do not consume alcohol.

Limit These Things During the Mind Diet (Things To Avoid)

1. Consume red meat such as steak, ground beef, pork, lamb, etc., not more than four times a week.

2. Do not consume butter and margarine in more than one teaspoon.

3. Eat cheese like mozzarella, and cheddar also once a week.

4. Limit the consumption of sweet things like cakes, brownies, and ice cream to 5 times a week.

5. You can eat fried food like french fries, chicken nuggets, onion rings, etc., or junk food of your choice only once a week.

Although the mind diet does not include exercise, if you want to exercise, then the mind will be more healthy. This improves blood flow to the brain. Which helps the brain cells to get enough nutrition. Exercising also reduces the risk of memory loss or loss.
